On Friday, February 14, 2025 a Jackson County Circuit Court blocked the last remaining barrier to abortion care, calling the medically unnecessary restrictions blatantly discriminatory. The first in-clinic abortion in Missouri since the US Supreme Court Dobbs decision took place the following day in Kansas City. Columbia, Kansas City, and St. Louis now have appointments for procedural abortions available.

Missourians who are under 18 and need to access abortion care can do so clinically in the state of Illinois without any parental/ guardian interference.
Missourians who are under 18 and need to access abortion care in the state of Kansas can do so at the Planned Parenthood Clinic in Overland Park but they will need consent from a judge that is called a “judicial bypass.” Planned Parenthood Great Plains provides support to young people in need of judicial bypass at (913. 345. 1400). SELF MANAGED ABORTION
Despite the political interference of abortion bans in states like Missouri, people in all 50 states are safely self managing their own abortions on their own terms with medication abortion pills.
WHAT IS SELF-MANAGED ABORTION WITH PILLS?
Self managed abortion with pills, or SMA, is the process of safely and privately ending a pregnancy with abortion pills. There are two pills referred to as “abortion pills:” mifepristone and misoprostol (or misoprostol only, if mifepristone is not available). Abortion with pills can be safely and effectively self managed, meaning without the supervision of an abortion provider.

Works directly with abortion clinics that provide care to Missouri residents– so you don’t have to! All you need to do is ask for financial aid and say you’re from Missouri when making your appointment in another state.

Offers financial assistance for logistical costs for things like travel, meals, and child care and more for people forced to travel across the midwest for abortion care.
