DESCRIPTION:Community Engagement Escort Training – Tuesday\, April 9\, 2024\nAbortion Action Missouri has led the way in Clinic Escorting for the St. Louis area for almost 40 years. We are excited to extend our escort program to include Community Engagement Escorting. Community Engagement Escorts are often requested to provide a safe presence for events\, political rallies\, and assistance at the capitol. Only those who have already taken AAM’s Clinic Escort Training will be allowed to attend a Community Engagement Escort Training. If you would like to volunteer as an escort outside of the traditional clinic setting\, this training is for you! Please join us on April 9th at 6pm.

DESCRIPTION:Reproductive Justice Advisory Committee – Thursday\, April 18\, 2024 at The St. Louis Regional Health Commission\nReproductive Justice Advisory Committee is a space specifically for Black and brown community members to come together and discuss topics and issues facing Black\, Indigenous\, and people of color (BIPOC) communities and provide advice and recommendations to Abortion Action Missouri on how we can better address issues impacting BIPOC communities across Missouri.\nWe are not a reproductive justice organization\, however we strive to utilize the reproductive justice framework – supporting the human right to have children\, to not have children\, and to parent the children we have in safe and sustainable communities. Your presence and active participation will contribute to the vibrancy of our discussions.\nThis community-led space lends their skills\, guidance\, and knowledge and provides critical strategic advice and recommendation to Abortion Action Missouri to support our shared goal. Whether you have attended previous meetings or are joining for the first time\, your perspective is essential\, and we encourage you to bring your ideas to the table.
